PRISM Plastics continues growth streak with 6 new staff

The recession hit PRISM Plastics hard, just like it did the rest of the manufacturers in the automotive supplier world. That was 2008. The next year the Chesterfield Township-based company notched $5 million in revenue. It hit $8 million in 2010 and $12 million in 2011. Revenues spiked to $18 million last year and the company is on track to reach $24 million in 2013, and $30 million next year.

Metro Detroit auto components manufacturer to invest $2 million, increase capacity 20%

Headquartered about 30 miles northeast of Detroit in Chesterfield Township, will purchase and install new Toshiba injection molding machines for its facilities in Chesterfield Township, Mich. and Harlingen, Texas.

THIS JUST IN: Supplier Prism invests $2M at Michigan, Texas plants

Auto supplier Prism Plastics LLC is investing $2 million in additional capacity at its plants in Michigan and Texas. Prism will add six Toshiba injection molding presses — with 85 tons and 200 tons of clamping force — at its plants in Chesterfield Township and Harlingen, Texas, the company said.
