PRISM Plastics highlighted in Plastics Technology
One of the most unique differentiators for PRISM Plastics is how we leverage automation and technology to solve problems and eliminate variation from the manufacturing process. This has helped us achieve a defective rate of less than 1 ppm despite shipping more than a billion parts annually. What’s even more surprising is that this is accomplished without a dedicated Quality Control department. Instead, quality control mechanisms are baked right into our processes.
Earlier this year, Plastics Technology, which covers technical and business information throughout the plastics industry, did a cover story on PRISM Plastics and our unique approach to manufacturing without a Quality Control department. The article gives an in-depth analysis of our equipment, systems and processes to show how we embed quality horizontally across all disciplines.

Giving Back: PRISM supports Croswell-Lexington High School Robotics Program
After-school robotics programs across the country continue to generate positive momentum with students and introduce them to exciting new career possibilities in STEM industries—which are in need of a new generation of talent to replace retiring Baby Boomers. To help support this initiative, PRISM Plastics donated $500 to the Crosswell-Lexington High School Robotics Program. Located in Crosswell, Michigan, the after-school program offered students the opportunity to design, build and learn how operate Underwater ROV’s (remotely operated vehicles) and Vex Robots. Enrollment in the program doubled in size in just its second year, and we’re proud to help such a worthwhile platform
