Technology Effective Option to Overseas Sourcing
Globalization in the automotive industry over the last few decades—sparked largely by the passage of NAFTA in the mid-1990s—has created dynamic shifts in operating procedures for automotive manufacturers as they look to balance quality with cost-effective labor. Recently, however, this pursuit has led many manufacturers back to U.S. soil where they are engaging highly automated, technology-driven partners that can provide the better quality than their overseas competitors for the same cost of labor.

Advanced Manufacturing Now - Modern Manufacturing Processes, Solutions and Strategies
Maintaining consistent quality is a priority for any manufacturer, elevating the perceived importance of the quality control department. Prism Plastics, however, takes a different approach to quality control. The company operates without a formal quality control department, a radical departure from convention. Deploying quality control resources before and during the manufacturing process, Prism achieves the precision, quality and consistency that make post-production quality control redundant.
